1. How does bagrak work?
Simply slip the handles of your bags over the ‘cleats’ at the top of the bagrak frame and they’ll stay right where they are.
2. What kind of bags can I attach to a bagrak?
You can attach almost any bag that has a handle. Bags like briefcases, laptops, sports bags, etc. can easily be attached to the top or walls of the bagrak frame by hooks on an elastic bungee cord or by rope ties.
3. How easy is bagrak to assemble?
Very. Simply follow the clear instructions included with your bagrak.
4. Will bagrak fit my car?
Take a few simple measurements and compare them with the maximum/minimum dimensions shown on our illustration. The variety of cars is so large and our product so new that we are still compiling our ‘will fit’ list from our satisfied customers. bagrak is designed to be self supporting and does not rely on any dedicated features provided by a particular manufacturer. It is universal, only requiring sufficient space for it to stand and work its magic.
Providing your boot area measures between 763mm-1350mm wide, and 555mm-1175mm deep.
5. Do I need to make attachment holes in my car?
No, bagrak is free standing
6. Can I move it from car to car?
Yes, providing the other car meets the maximum/minimum measurements.
7. What colour is the Bagrak?
bagrak is Titanium Grey.
8. What colour are the supermarket bags?
They’re in mid-blue with an attractive white logo and the environmental message: ‘There is only one big blue’
9. Will there be different bags?
Two bags are provided with the bagrak kit and more are available via the website. We will be offering more styles and colours at a later date, creating a fashionable range to complement the bagrak environmental philosophy of providing re-usable, durable bags instead of throwing away plastic bags that end up in landfill.
10. Will Bagrak accept other types of bags?
Yes. Most other types of bags, brief cases, laptops, cartons, paint tins, take away meals etc., can be attached to bagrak by either their own handles, bungee cord or rope/cord. The attachment points are either the ‘cleat’ shaped hooks on the top edge or the lattice holes in the bagrak walls. Tins of approximately 2.5 litres (eg, paint) will fit into the recess formed in the corner pieces and ‘tied in’ across the right angled corners.
11. How safe is bagrak?
Very safe indeed. If someone hits your car from behind, it’s designed to crumple along with your car’s crumple zones.
12. Could bagrak injure young children or pets?
No, there are no potential areas that could trap them, for instance, or sharp edges.
13. My car boot is too small for Bagrak, but I also have a problem with spillage and damage when my bags fall over!
Email us with the make, model and size of your car boot. We are considering making a mini version if enough people want them.
14. What are the aluminium tubes for?
They are braced against the back seat so that the Bagrak stays in position when you brake. Where they touch the side walls of the boot, they also help to keep the sides parallel.
15. What if I want to put large suitcases or a golf bag into my boot?
Simply unscrew the grey nylon tube clamping screws by two turns, pull the tubes towards you and push the bagrak frame to the rear of the boot, instantly reclaiming 90% of your original area. When you have finished, simply reverse the procedure and your bagrak is back in position.
16. Is it difficult to fit?
No - you don’t need any tools and with the simple instructions, the bagrak can be assembled and fitted in minutes.
17. What if my car boot has wheel arches?
Even better! The bagrak fits alongside the wheel arches and creates a handy, deep pocket between the boot wall and the bagrak.
18. What if I need to lay the back seats down?
Simply remove the bagrak as easily as you installed it, then re-install it when you’re done.
